Amy Malcom

About Amy:

Amy is a seasoned allied health professional with a background in nutrition, medical social work and nursing. She has 25 plus years of experience working with patients, their caregivers, and on multidisciplinary teams in hospital and ambulatory care settings, mainly in the oncology and stem cell transplant spaces. Care coordination and case management are her super powers. Additionally, she has been an educator both at the university level and in the pharmaceutical industry. She looks forward to continuing to educate people – patients, providers and the public – with her writing.

Outside of professional endeavors, Amy enjoys morning coffee on the front porch; day hikes that end with a vanilla shake; morning paddles on still water; old dogs; a good farmers’ market; and snow days. She is an enthusiastic but lukewarm gardener; a mediocre piano student (with lots of potential if she practice); and a novice to sourdough starters. She has tried to learn to knit many times but just doesn’t get it. Amy is a committed caregiver to her 100+ year old bungalow. One of her prized possessions is her 2003 orange Honda Element with its pop-up ECamper. She has spent the last 20 plus years perfecting her grandma’s biscotti recipe. Amy lives in Denver, Colorado.
